
SCENIC Rim Regional Council has announced the reopening of the cinema facility at Boonah Cultural Centre tonight.
In a statement released to the media, council said the refurbishment project included the purchase and installation of a digital projector and associated fittings as well as iinstalling a digital cinema audio system, screen, acoustic curtains, and augmented hearing facilities.

The project was completed in two stages, with the first stage being the installation of the camera and fittings, co-funded by council, the state and federal governments through Local Economic Recovery program.
This included $65,639.93 from state and federal governments and $7293 from council.
Stage two involved installing a digital camera and audio system, a screen, accoustic curtains and augmented hearing facilities.
This was co-funded by council, the Queensland Department of State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning via the South East Queensland Community Stimulus Package and Scenic Rim Regional Council.
Fundind for stage two was comprised of $76,000 from the Queensland government with council chipping in $4713.
Council said Mayor Greg Christensen would officially open the cinema opening at 6pm.
Official proceedings will take place at 6.30pm and the movie will commence at 7pm.
The movie screened will be Top Gun: Maverick (M)
Tickets cost $10.00 for adults and $7.50 for concessions and includes a drink and canapes upon arrival.
