STUDENTS at Tamrookum State School were given the opportunity to shine on stage this morning at a school musical performance.
For prep to year six, each class performed a song in front of their parents, family, friends and teachers.
With the threat of more heavy rain hanging over their heads, the school moved the concert to the newly built school hall instead of holding it in the more exposed undercover area.
The backdrop was created by their music teacher Jenny Norton, who had helped them rehearse in preparation for the big day.
Many of the children showed an affinity for being on stage, with no shortage of animated gestures as each class stepped up for their turn to perform.
The event was efficiently run by school leaders Emily Johns and Ava Wallace, who introduced each act and made sure their fellow students were on their best behaviour throughout.
