THE Beaudesert and District Community Arts Project has announced the reprisal of the community makers market in time for Christmas.

The markets will again be held at the Stationmaster House on Brisbane Street Beaudesert from December 4 to 18.

BADCAP said the market would be open from 10am to 2pm daily and invited artists who would like to submit their works to sell to email BADCAP at lorrainedowdeswell@gmail.com.

A spokeswoman said details relating to commission and other necessary information would be sent.

"As it is a Christmas market, any items with Christmas themes or items which would make perfect festive gifts are most welcome," the spokesperson said.

"The event will be officially open on Saturday, December 4 at an informal gathering from 4pm to 6pm.

"Earlier in the day, there will be free drop-in workshops by Erica Bates (soft Christmas toys) and Claudje Lecompte (clay animals and Christmas decorations).

"On Sunday, December 5 at 10am, Cindy Wood will guide participants through her Christmas wreath-making workshop with everyone taking home something eye-catching to hang on their front doors for the festive season."

The cost for this workshop to be advised but will be cost of materials only.

Bookings can be made by contacting Chris Grimmett on 0421 006 220

On Saturday, December 18 more free workshops will include raku firing and candlemaking at 3pm to 5pm followed by a drumming circle at 5pm.
