Woman seriously injured in Gleneagle traffic crash

Woman in hospital after Gleneagle crash

EMERGENCY services were called to the scene of a serious traffic crash Friday night.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the accident happened when a Mazda 323 driven by a 25-year-old woman crashed into a tree.

Two Queensland Fire and Emergency Services crew from Beaudesert were also in attandance.

A QFES spokeswoman said the driver was physically unable to get out of the vehicle and cutting equipment was used to free her.

The Queensland Ambulance Service reported the woman was taken in a serious condition to Princess Alexandra Hospital.

She sustained head, abdominal and back injuries.
