Motorcyclist in hospital after crash at Peak Crossing

FOLLOWING several weekends in a row of serious traffic accidents, Boonah police responded to reports of a traffic crash at Peak Crossing yesterday afternoon.

The accident happened when a motorcyclist was struck by a vehicle on Ipswich Boonah Road.

Police said the 49-year-old motorcycle rider was taken to the PA Hospital with fractures and suspected internal injuries as a result of the impact.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by police.

This came after another driver was lucky to escape unscathed last week when the car he was driving left the Cunningham Highway at Silverdale and overturned on Wednesday afternoon. Investigations

The 40-year-old Redbank Plains man was issued with an infringement notice for driving without due care and attention.
