Motorcyclist injured after crash on Tamborine Mountain

Man injured in Tamborine Mountain motorcycle crash

EMERGENCY services have responded to reports of a motorcycle crash on Tamborine Mountain this morning.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said the motorcyclist, a man believed to be in his 30s, had sustained a shoulder injury in the crash.

Police are also at the crash site on Tamborine Mountain Road.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said the call came in at 11.09am today.

Traffic may be impacted in the area.

Emergency Service personnel are experiencing another busy weekend on local roads, with two more fatalities.

In the early hours of this morning a 47-year-old Beenleigh man died following a single vehicle traffic incident at Waterford West.

At 2am police were called to Beutel Street, following reports of the vehicle leaving the roadway and colliding with a tree.

He was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of his injuries.

This followed the death of a teenager at Tamborine last night.

The 19-year-old man died following a traffic incident involving a skateboard.

Police were called to Ballantrae Rd at 11pm following reports of an injured skateboarder.

Investigations continue into whether the man was holding on to a vehicle at the time of the incident.

He was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of his injuries.
