BEAUY pro boxer Dylan Biggs is ready to face off against Johnathon Tuhu at Toowoomba on Saturday night.

Biggs, who started his career at Beaudesert Boxing Club when he was still in primary school, said he was up for the challenge of getting in the ring with an older, more experienced fighter.

"He's in his 30s and an experienced kickboxer so it'll be big, tough and dangerous for a couple of rounds," he said.

"I'm ready for whatever he's got to throw at me."

Biggs said he had not taken a break from training after his last fight in March.

"I've been training for this one for a couple of months now," he said.

"This one will be harder."

Known as the Beaudesert Storm, Biggs beat Thai fighter Rachan Klomgleang in his first pro fight earlier this year.

He retired from amateur boxing in November after retaining his title in the 75 kilogram elite division at the state championships.

Bigg's trainer Justin O'Leary said the 19-year-old boxer was keen to get in the ring after his bout against former military fighter and Northern Territory champion Jason Leuken was cancelled in July due to COVID.

"He is very young to be having his second pro fight but Dylan definitely has a bright future ahead of him and deserves all the support Beaudesert can offer," he said.

"He should be fighting about 8pm on Saturday night and about 30 supporters will be at Rumours International in Toowoomba to cheer him on."

O'Leary invited local businesses willing to sponsor the young fighter to call him on 0499 944 250.

Biggs said he hoped to see some familiar faces in the crowd on the night.

"It's always good to see locals there," he said.

"Even for people who have never been to a boxing match it'll be a good opportunity because there will be a lot of good fights on the night."
