The Gelita senior men's side had a great win against a desperate Redlands side.
Kingies coach Mick Harkin said the local team had to win Saturday's game to stay in finals contention.
"The Kingfishers started off the scoring early with a quick try to Arran Davies who ran hard and straight down a short blind," Harkin said.
"Joel Nilon dived on a nice kick to score and then Arran scored his second right on the cusp of half time thanks to a beautiful pass from Joel Nilon.
"Beaudesert defence again set the platform for the side, but the boys had to work hard against a very good Redlands side."
Michael Paulson, Zac Harkin and Nick Harkin led the way with some strong tackles.
"The second half started in our favour with Bailey McPaike putting more points on the board," Harkin said.
"Redlands then slowed the game down and the boys, being impatient, forced a few passes, bombed a few tries and gave away back to back penalties.
"Jasp Leach finished the scoring, running into a hole to score a great try and leaving the final score at 26 to 16."
This came after last week's effort saw the team grabbing a much needed win over the spirited Eagleby Giants.
