AQUIS Beaudesert reinstated the traditional Anzac Day races with all the trimmings today.
The popular event was scuppered last year by the pandemic but the 2019 Anzac Day races attracted a record crowd, with locals and visitors taking the opportunity for a day at the track.

After a chilly start to Anzac Day the event was held under sunny skies and the weather remained kind for the duration.
This year the fashionistas went above and beyond, with even the children dressed to impress.
The traditional Anzac Day event once again featured fashions on the field, two-up on the track and the famous Beauy yabbie races.
Local trainers Ben Robinson, Greg Cornish, James Hepworth, Jan Pritchard, Darleen Duryea, Ben Ahrens, Ross Howard, Kenneth Deacon, Matthew Dunn, Mark Palmer, Ray Litton, Leanne Gore, Diane Murphy, and Tracy Green were well represented on the track.
Ben Ahrens had a win with Arise My Son ridden by Anthony Allen in race five, with Kenneth Deacon's Eightythree Bricks ridden by Brooke Ainsworth placing second and third place claimed by Matthew Dunn's Credible ridden by Rikki Palmer.
The Beaudesert RSl Diggers Cup went to Toffie Lady ridden by Travis Wolfgram and trained by Gold Coast trainer Alicia Willick.
