A DRIVER has escaped serious injury after hitting a cow on the Mount Lindesay Highway at Innisplain tonight.
The accident happened about 6.25pm.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said the vehicle had been traveling in the direction of Beaudesert when it hit the cow, left the road and ended up in a ditch.
The car's airbags were deployed and there were no occupants trapped in the vehicle.
The spokeswoman said traffic was not impacted greatly, with both the car and the cow being removed from the road quickly.
A spokeswoman for Queensland Fire and Emergency Services said a crews of firefighters from Kooralbyn as well as the local Rural Fire Service were also in attendance.
A spokeswoman for the Queensland Ambulance Service said paramedics were not required at the scene.
