This is taking the great outdoors to new heights: adventure enthusiasts can stay overnight on the side of a 300-metre cliff face in Mount Buffalo National Park, a four-hour drive from Melbourne.
On a cliff-camping adventure with Unleashed Unlimited you will abseil down to a portaledge, dine on a three-course meal, sleep on the ledge and wake up to a spectacular sunrise. It's Australia's first and the world's highest cliff-camping experience. One night's cliff camping starts at $799 per person.
If spending the night on the side of a cliff sounds more like a night of no sleep to you, Bright Adventure Company offers cliff picnics. Choose from breakfast, lunch or dinner, and a ledge for two or four people. A cliff picnic for two costs $449.
