A rampant Liverpool side have scored seven goals as they marched through to the fourth round of the League Cup.
Takumi Minamino and Curtis Jones scored twice each while Xerdan Shaqiri, Marko Grujic and Divock Origi got the others as the Premier League champions won 7-2 at League One Lincoln City.
Phil Foden scored 15 minutes from time to give holders Manchester City a 2-1 win over Bournemouth while new signing Bertrand Traore was on the scoresheet as Aston Villa won 3-0 at Bristol.
Manager Juergen Klopp fielded a much-changed team, with Mo Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Gini Wijnaldum, Andy Robertson and Alisson all left out, while new signing Thiago was also rested.
But the understudies, who included new signing Diogo Jota as a second-half substitute, performed superbly.
"We played a really good football game tonight," Klopp said.
"It was easy on the eye. We passed the ball and finished situations off. The boys wanted to play football and showed an exceptional attitude."
Asked if his "second XI", which still included the likes of Virgil van Dijk, had proved something, Klopp said: "That's how it should be."
Shaqiri started things off with a superb free kick on nine minutes.
Minamino curled in his first goal nine minutes later and Jones grabbed his two goals in the space of five minutes before half-time.
Minamino volleyed in his second goal immediately after half-time to make it 5-0 and though Tayo Edun pulled one back, Grujic added a sixth.
And after Lewis Montsma scored a second for Lincoln, Origi completed the scoring with the seventh goal, sending Liverpool through to a meeting with Arsenal.
Manchester City had their hands full with Bournemouth, who played as if they had a point to prove after their relegation to the Championship last season.
Liam Delap put City in front early on but Sam Surridge equalised and it took until the 75th minute before Foden won it for the hosts, setting up a meeting with Burnley in round four.
Anwar El-Ghazi, new signing Bertrand Traore and Ollie Watkins scored the goals as Aston Villa won 3-0 at Bristol City in the night's other match.
Villa will face Stoke City in the fourth round.
