The Beaudesert Times is still taking nominations for The Beaudesert Times Local Legends for 2020.

We want to acknowledge those who love being involved in our community and who generously contribute their time for the greater good of our town.

Your Local Legend could be a volunteer, health care worker, the parent running the sausage sizzle at your club or any other volunteer.

Your nomination could win you a prize package valued at $275 from local businesses Mitre 10, Greener Grocer, The Star Hotel and Bendigo Bank,

A selection of nominations will be published in our Local Legends special publications and on our website. Each nomination will also receive a Local Legend certificate presented by The Beaudesert Times.

Local legends are people like Beaudesert's Christmas Spirit founders Finella Loch and Shellie Butler Currie who each year lead a small army of volunteers to make sure the children of Beaudesert experience the magic of Christmas.

The pair, along with Division 4 councillor Michael Enright, spend months organising the yarnbombing to dress the town's trees and light poles in their Christmas jumpers, arranging a Santa Clause hunt for the kids and making sure the town is sparkling with decorations for the festive season.
