RUGBY Union is back on with the Beaudesert Warriors set to play the first game of the season on Friday.

Warriors president Brent Kohlhagen said the team was primed for action and ready to take on the Southern Bay Cyclones on their home game in the Redlands.

"We've been training hard for about four weeks now and looking forward to the first game of the season," he said.

"There was a time there with the COVID-19 thing when we thought the season wouldn't go ahead at all but now we have a full season of games.

"We're really looking forward to it."

Mr Kohlhagen said the Warriors were particularly looking forward to their first home game at Everdell Park where they would face Brisbane Irish on July 24.

"It should be a great game, Irish is a really good team and good competition for the Warriors," he said.

The Warriors will also have home games on August 7, August 28, September 11 and September 25.
