Beenleigh crash send two to hospital, closes two lanes on Pacific Motorway

EMERGENCY Services have responded to reports of a two vehicle crash at Beenleigh.

The crash happened at the Logan River Bridge offramp towards Loganholme.

A spokesman for Queensland Police said officers arrived just after 3.30pm to find a truck and a Jeep Grand Cherokee had collided. He said one of the vehicles had slid 180 degrees into the guardrail.

Oil and fluid was leaking from one of the vehicles and the police spokesman said two lanes were blocked.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said two people had been taken to Logan hospital in a stable condition.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said one crew of firefighters also attended but left the crash site by 3.50pm.

This came after an earlier incident in Beaudesert where a woman came off her motorbike at the intersection of Beaudesert Boonah Road and Bromelton Street about 12.40pm.

A spokeswoman for the Queensland Ambulance Service said paramedics assessed a woman at the scene and took her to Logan Hospital with lower leg injuries.

A spokesman for the Queensland Police Service said officers arrived to find the woman being treated by paramedics. He said the accident did not impact local traffic.
