Covid-19 diagnosed in man after he dined at Gold Coast restaurant Friday

QUEENSLAND Health yesterday announced yesterday that 39-year-old man who was at Rick Shores restaurant in Burleigh Heads on Friday, March 13 has tested positive for novel coronavirus.

Queensland Health is calling for people who attended the restaurant during the 90 minute period between midday and 1.30pm that day to monitor their health and see a doctor immediately if they develop any symptoms.

While the risk is very low, a small number of people who sat near this case could potentially have been exposed to Covid-19.

The man was not unwell when he attended the restaurant but developed symptoms 24 hours later.

Health authorities said there was no risk to anyone who had been to this restaurant before or after this period.
