BEAUDESERT'S junior cricketers were put to the test in some high scoring games at the weekend.
The season is now entering its final weeks, with less than four matches remaining in the regular season.
Beaudesert's level three side were put to the sword against Springwood Suns, who scored 8/103 batting first at Selwyn Park.
In a high scoring first innings, Luke Bostock, Jim McClure, Adam Davison, Coltyn Spens Black, Isabelle Hardy and Blake Gaunson claimed a wicket each.
The Beaudesert batters managed 71 in reply, going down by 77 runs.
Beaudesert red level one were also chasing a big score after giving away cheap runs at the start of the innings.
Taj Singh 1/10 and Matthew Morris 1/14 were the pick of the bowlers as Springwood piled on 4/148 at Homestead Park.
Beaudesert fought hard to chase the runs but were eventually dismissed for 71, with Jett Bright 6, Veer Singh 6 and Matthew Morris 5 the top scorers.
The club's gold side came a little closer to victory in their clash with Kuraby Knights at Larrescy Oval two.
Beaudesert scored 89 batting first before the Knights chased the runs to finish at 9/100 from 20 overs.
Rhys Walsh was the top scorer with 14 for Beaudesert while Xavier Dean 2/2 and Ezra McAthur 1/6 were the chief destroyers with the the ball.
