Firefighters douse shed fire at Kooralbyn

EMERGENCY services have responded to reports of a shed fire at Kooralbyn this evening.

A spokeswoman for Queensland Fire and Emergency Services said two crews had rushed to the fire on Walker Drive after a call came in at 8.08pm.

Firefighters isolated power to the shed and had the fire under control by 8.50pm.

The spokeswoman said firefighters remained at the scene and were dampening down the area.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said paramedics responded to the call at 8.10pm and were treating one man and one woman for smoke inhalation.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said officers were also in attendance after receiving a call at 8.10pm.

The QPS spokeswoman said the fire originated from a lawn mower and there was smoke damage only.
