Decent rainfall totals in the Scenic Rim over the past week with more to come

RAINFALL over the Scenic Rim region has brought welcome relief to the land, with even more to come over the next few days.

On Tuesday Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Kimba Wong said Beaudesert copped 11 millimetres and Kalbar 61 millimetres since 9am Monday with more of the same predicted right up to the weekend.

"We are looking at scattered showers and thunderstorms with possible heavy falls from now until Thursday, with rains easing on Friday and much lighter on Saturday and Sunday," Ms Wong said.

"Beaudesert has received 113 millimetres in the past seven days, with areas of east of Beaudesert getting in excess of 200mm and quite a few receiving more than 300mm."
