BEAUDESERT Santa Keith Reinke has thanked all the Beaudesert businesses and individuals who chipped in to make Christmas special for local children.
Mr Reinke said he had handed out about 6000 presents in the lead up to Christmas and donations were still pouring in.
"Woolworths, Coles and local retailers really helped us out," he said.
"And the number of people who dropped stuff off at my house was unreal.
"I have put away some toys for this year because people are still bringing toys to me."
Mr Reinke said he would continue to accept donations throughout the year.
"Monday night I heard a knock at my door but I didn't get out in time to see who it was," he said.
"And then a neighbour asked if I'd seen what was in my garage. It was a big bag of toys, so I have a stack of stuff packed away.
Mr Reinke said the town had really stepped up their generosity and he thanked everyone who helped sort and wrapped the presents.
"We were only out of pocket for a bit of wrapping paper and sticky tape," he said.
"Woolies donated quite a bit of wrapping paper too."
