Beaudesert defeats Northsiders in high-scoring affair at Ivor Marsden Oval

BEAUDESERT'S level 3B cricketers turned up the heat on Northsiders to bring home a hard-fought win in a high scoring affair at Ipswich.

Northsiders piled on 4/176 from 30 overs after winning the toss and electing to bat before Luke Bostock 43*, Jim McClure 42*, Darcy Riddle 27* and Isobelle Hardy 22* came flying out of the gates to chase the runs three wickets down.

Adam Davison, Lachlan Ferguson and Liam Buchanan led the way with the ball, claiming a wicket each.

Beaudesert level 2B held Kuraby to 4/149 thanks to a two-wicket hall from Jack Wilkie, who made the most of dewy conditions at Larrescy Oval.

Declan O'Donnell led the run chase with 39 but it was not enough, as the Beaudesert batsmen fell short of the opposition's total.

Beaudesert red level one lost wickets at regular intervals to be dismissed cheaply against Springwood Suns away from home.

Joe Harkin 10, Karl Gwinner 9 and Taj Singh 8 were the top scorers on an damp outfield at Homestead Park.

Beaudesert restricted the runs when they came out to bowl, with Thomas Nairn 2/8 and Taj Singh 1/11 the pick of the bowlers.

The Beenleigh Pirates were too strong for Beaudesert gold level one in a low-scoring affair at home.

Aidan Overell 14 and Darcy Tilley 9 were the only batsmen to get going, while with the ball Xavier Dean claimed 3/5 off two overs.
