THE weather in Beaudesert cooled down after a brief downpour in some areas of the Scenic Rim over the weekend.
The brief storm did not deliver as much rain as originally hoped but the respite from the extraordinarily hot days that were a feature of the Christmas holidays at least allowed Beaudesert children to come out to play and enjoy some Monday school holiday fun in Jubilee Park.
The cooler weather also made it easier on the grown ups, who spread their picnic rugs and enjoyed a catch-up with friends.
For many of the children, the clock is ticking on the school holidays with most due to resume classes on January 29. with many looking forward to another school year and some preparing to start school as 2020 preppies.
