Boonah police seek help on break and enter at Energex depot

BOONAH police are continuing investigations into an unlawful entry offence at the Boonah Energex depot in Samuel Street, Dugandan last week.

Between 12.30am and 1am on January 9, police say an offender cut the wire fencing at the rear of the depot gaining access into the yard.

They said the offender had left the property with a roll of wire, which was then dumped in the paddock behind the depot.

Anyone who may have information relating to the identity of the offender is urged to contact Senior Constable Andrew Conway at Boonah police station.

In other news a 44 year old Bunjurgen man will face Ipswich Magistrates Court after police executed a search warrant on a Mount Alford Road property on Wednesday, January 8.

During the search police found several utensils which had been used to smoke a dangerous drug.

He is due to appear in court on January 31.

Police also charged a 35-year-old Clumber man with stealing perishable items from the Boonah IGA on Wednesday.

They said the man was seen placing an item of food in his clothing and leaving the store without paying for it. He is due to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court on January 17.
