THE Beaudesert Times has once again partnered with Beaucare to bring some joy to families doing it tough this Christmas with the tree in our Short Street office ready and waiting for donated gifts to be dropped off.
Beaucare operational support manager Ainsley Hinkins said more people were accessing support services at Beaucare, especially with the ongoing drought and bushfires.
"People come to us for a variety of needs but the past couple of months have been huge," she said.
"Last year we supported 39 families through the Christmas Appeal.
"We were blown away by the generosity of the people of Beaudesert and we think the Christmas Appeal gives everyone the opportunity to share in the community spirit."
Ms Hinkins said numbers for this year had not been finalised but Beaucare may have more families coming in in the next couple of weeks.
"Every year the need grows," she said.
