THE Queensland Symphony Orchestra has announced the season finale concert Timelesson Saturday, November 16, will be livestreamed throughout regional Queensland as well as in various Wesley Mission Centres across Brisbane and to the rest of the globe via Facebook Live.

A QSO spokesman said Beaudesert's classical music fans would be able to enjoy conductor Alondra de la Parra's final concert as music director along with venues in Ingham, Gladstone, Toowoomba, Nambour, ChartersTowersandGympie.

"Cementing its reputation as the Orchestra For Everyone, Queensland Symphony Orchestra has also partnered with the Wesley Mission to stream the concert into a number of its residential aged care, supported accommodation and retirement communities across Brisbane, with some of these communities hosting sit-down dinners and themed events for their residents," the spokesman said.

QSO chief executive, Craig Whitehead said the orchestra was pleased to offer this rare opportunity to such a wide audience.

"We feel such joy that livestreaming Timeless will enable music-lovers who may have medical or mobility issues, or those who live in regional communities, to experience with us, our thrilling season finale from the comfort of their own homes, or in their local entertainment venue," he said.

"It's a major moment for Queensland Symphony Orchestra and in achieving our mission to be an Orchestra For Everyone."

Timeless features Ravel's Rapsodie espagnol and Tchaikovsky's Symphony No.5, as well as Grieg's Piano Concerto in A minor with 2019 Artist-in-Residence, pianist Paul Lewis.
