BEAUDESERT's future swimming champions are ready to dive into this year's swim season with a little help from motivational speaker and three time world record breast stroke champion Jade Edmistone.

Edmistone broke her first world record for 50 metre breast stroke in 2004 before going on to break four more world records and claiming three world titles before retiring in 2009.

The champion was in Beaudesert last Friday to speak with Beaudesert's intermediate and senior squad ahead of a training session.

Coach Lisa Parlett said they had initially looked at hosting the visit in January but brought it forward to give the swimmers some motivation early in the training season.

Edmistone said she would be sharing some tips and tricks with the swimmers.

"The drills for this session will increase efficiency in the water," she said.

After learning the drills to improve stability in the pool, the Beaudesert swimmers are set to improve their results for the 2019 season.
