A mockumentary television pilot filmed in and around Rathdowney will be screened at Beaudesert and its makers, 13th Street Films, have invited residents of the Scenic Rim to the free preview.

Welcome to Wrigleton was filmed in Rathdowney and at the Moogerah Dam.

Welcome To Wrigleton is about a small Australian town on the brink of bankruptcy, led by the hapless yet endearing mayor Clinton Wrigleton (Michael Cuckson).

The comedy features a large cast of diverse, and multicultural Australians, exploring narratives of a wide demographic, from children to the elderly. Producers said the series was inspired by classics like The Castle and Russell Coight's All Aussie Adventures.

The screening is on September 21 at 2pm at The Centre. RSVP essential on 5540 5050.
