Agents Bartholomew & Co reported a yarding of 823 head of cattle at the recent Broadlands Dispersal Sale with quality lines of 12- to 15-month-old heifers and pen after pen of store cows coming to hand.

Strong competition was created from both local and travelled buyers.

Store cows sold to $700 with strong support from volume buyers from the South.

The lines of one-brand heifers created a lot of interest, selling to $615 with large numbers moving into the Brisbane Valley region. Steers were in demand, with Droughtmaster x steers 12 months selling up to $625 with keen interest from local and Wandoan buyers. The Broadlands Clearing Sale will be held on Sunday September 29.
