VOLUNTEERS representing the Beaudesert branch of Cancer Council Queensland are out and about in town today selling flowers in celebration of Daffodil Day.

Ellen Logan and Julie Ferguson were seen at VK Everydays this morning greeting cafe customers, who were happy to buy a bunch of daffs to support cancer research.

Ms Ferguson, who lost her husband to cancer in 2016, said the cause was close to her heart. She said she had volunteered for the past four years and loved getting involved with the Daffodil Day appeal each year.

"It is wonderful to see the community get involved and support Cancer Council Queensland," she said.

"Community members who purchase daffodils are helping an amazing cause and as an added bonus they receive some sunny flowers."

Ms Ferguson said there would be static displays at Woolworths and Coles all day today for those who wanted to support the Cancer Council.
