Repeat traffic offenders busted by Boonah police and Tactical Crime Squad

A 29-year-old Bellbird Park man has been charged with driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle after he was stopped by police whilst driving on Ipswich Boonah Road, Peak Crossing at 8.35am last Wednesday.

A police check revealed the vehicle's registration had expired in March.

The vehicle was immobilised for seven days as this was the drivers second Type 2 offence.

A police spokesman said the man was due to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court on October 1.

A 35-year-old Collingwood Park man was charged with unlicenced driving after he was pulled over by police on Flinders Street, Peak Crossing at 4.05pm on Thursday.

Checks revealed the driver's licence was suspended by the State Penalties Enforcement Registry for non payment of fines.

The police spokesman said the man was due to face Ipswich Magistrates Court on October 1.

A 38-year-old Crestmead man was charged with drink driving after being stopped by officers from Ipswich Tactical Crime Squad at 1.30am Saturday on Coronation Drive, Boonah.

As a result of a positive test the police spokesman said the man's driver's licence was suspended until he appeared in Ipswich Magistrates Court on September 2.

A reading of 0.106% will be alleged.
