Driver taken to hospital after being trapped in rolled vehicle at Witheren

EMERGENCY services at 8.15pm last night responded to reports of a single vehicle rollover at Witheren.

A spokeswoman for Queensland Fire and Emergency Services said they received the call at 8.22pm and arrived at 8.41pm to find paramedics and police at the scene on Beaudesert Nerang Road.

The spokeswoman said firefighters extricated the driver, who had been trapped in the vehicle.

She said they had stabilised the car and removed the driver to safety within 15 minutes of arriving.

Queensland Ambulance Service reported that a patient had been taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition for observation.

A spokeswoman for Queensland Police Service said they had been alerted to the crash at 8.21pm.

She said a woman had been driving the car, which was driving east-bound on Beaudsert Nerang Road.
