SCENIC Rim tourism operators gathered at a forum last week to network, empower regional development and build positive relationships.
Fifty operators attended the half-day tourism showcase, facilitated by Scenic Rim Regional Council and held at O'Reilly's Canungra Valley Vineyards.
Among the attendees were local alpaca farmers, adventure tourism operators and boutique accommodation providers.
Operators shared first-hand case studies as well as their valuable business insights and learnings.
Presentations also covered Arts Ablaze, a regional arts and culture celebration to be hosted in Kooralbyn this October.
Also in attendance were representatives from Brisbane Marketing and various tourism and creative agencies geared with knowledge and collateral to assist operators grow their businesses.
Scenic Rim Regional Council Mayor Greg Christensen said regional connections and collaborations were vital, citing Eat Local Week as an example of collective marketing efforts.
The forum also highlighted local tourism programs including the Business Excellence Awards, the Eat Local Scenic Rim Accredited Locavore program and the Women in Rural, Regional and Remote Enterprises program.
