DESPITE the grey skies and threat of rain this morning, a substantial crowd turned up for the Canungra Food, Beer and Music Festival for Eat Local Week.
A brief downpour did nothing to dampen enthusiasm for the event, presented by The Design Collective and hosted by the Canungra Bowls Club.
Some people came prepared with umbrellas or rain ponchos, others huddled together under awnings and festival stalls for the little while it took for the sky to clear, while others simply ignored the wet weather and danced in the rain.
Dozens of food trucks, a jumping castle for the kids and an energetic performance by the Owl Valley Bluegrass Band kept visitors entertained and well fed.
The unmanned festival T-Shirt stall reflected the spirit of the Scenic Rim with a sign reading "$10 - pop money in honesty box".
