SCENIC Rim Regional Council promises plenty to see and do during the Winter school holidays with their JOin program offering something for all ages to join in.
A council spokewoman said the JOin Winter program incorporates the World of Fun school holiday line-up of free and low-cost activities including exhibitions,workshops, craft activities and screenings of five family movies.
"The Flipside Circus workshops return to the Scenic Rim by popular demand," she said.
"In a fun-filled two hours, beginners and more experienced participants will explore a range of circus skills in two separate workshops.
"There will be circus play for children aged four to seven and juggling, mini tramp, tumbling and hoops for older participants."
Workshops will be held on Thursday, July 4 at Boonah Cultural Centre and on Tuesday July 9 at the Centre, Beaudesert, at 10am for the small set and at 1pm for those aged seven and older.
Tickets are $12.
In conjunction with the She Sees, She Feels, She Makes exhibition at the Centre running until July 20, exhibiting artist Paula Payne will run three painting and stencilling workshops under the banner of Painting Country.
Children will learn to mix earth colours and use stencilling techniques to create paintings on canvas and paper.
These two-hour workshops will take place on Wednesday 3 July from 9.30am at The Centre Beaudesert and then at Boonah Cultural Centre at 1.30pm. Paula heads to Tamborine Mountain on Thursday 4 July to present the workshop at the Vonda Youngman Community Centre at 1.30pm.
Price is $12.
The See Sees, She Feels, She Makes exhibition has also inspired a basket-making workshop in which children will be guided to learn more about first nations culture.
Using traditional and contemporary weaving techniques, children aged seven and over will create their own small raffia and woollen basket to take home.
Participants will also see traditional Dilly bags and grass baskets during the workshops on Thursday, July 11 at The Centre Beaudesert from 9.30am to 11.30am and Boonah Cultural Centre from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
Tickets are $12 but places are limited.
Kids Flicks family films to be screened at the Centre Beaudesert and Boonah Cultural Centre with $5 for all tickets including admission, a drink and a snack.
Recent release movies to be screened at Boonah Cultural Centre and The Centre Beaudesert include:

- Mary Poppins Returns (G)
- Ralph Breaks the Internet (PG)
- Patrick (PG)
- Nutcracker and the Four Realms (PG).
Mary Poppins Returns will also be screened in the evening time slot of 7pm on Friday 5 July - also at $5 for everyone.
