Harrisville and Boonah police seek witnesses to theft, wilful damage and traffic offences

Harrisville Police are investigating a theft that occurred between 4.30pm on Wednesday, June 12 and 8am on Thursday, June 14.

The incident happened at a business on Ipswich Boonah Road, Peak Crossing where offenders stole items from an unlocked shed.

Employees at the business found some of the items in a nearby paddock.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen a vehicle or person acting suspiciously in the Peak Crossing area around this time to contact Acting Sergeant Snell at Harrisville.

Investigations are continuing into a wilful damage incident in High Street, Boonah about 3am on Friday, June 14 when someone set the council bins beside Glen's Diner alight

Police said the fire had the potential to cause significant damage to a number of businesses in town but thanks to an alert local who contacted QFRS, the blaze was extinguished before any further damage occurred.

Anyone who may have information relating to the offence is requested to contact Boonah Police or Crimestoppers.

Police are investigating the cause of a two vehicle crash on the Warrill View Peak Crossing Road and Webbers Road, Harrisville at 9.25am on Saturday, June 15.

Initial reports suggested a vehicle failed to give way at the intersection.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is requested to contact Senior Constable Josh Piper at Kalbar Police Station.
