Beaudesert and Boonah police lay charges for trespass, drugs and traffic violations

A 26-year-old Logan man has been charged with wilful damage and trespass after several cabins at Lake Moogerah Caravan park were damaged and entered sometime between the Sunday, June 2 and Monday, June 3.

The man was issued a notice to appear in Beaudesert Magistrates Court on June 25.

A 37-year-old Fassifern Valley man was issued a notice to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court for possessing dangerous drugs after police were called to a Fassifern Valley address about 12am on Saturday, June 8.

Police said they found the drugs in the man's possession while they were speaking to him for an unrelated matter.

An 18-year-old Redbank Plains man was issued with infringement notices for driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle after he was found by police riding a trail bike on Koskies Road, Mutdapilly at 4pm on Saturday, June 1.

Police said the man was not wearing a helmet, was not authorised to ride the motorbike and failed to produce his driver's licence upon request.

He was fined a total of $1556 for the five offences.

A 34-year-old Clumber man was issued with infringement notices for driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle after he was stopped by police while driving on the Cunningham Highway, Aratula at 2.48pm on Tuesday, June 4.

He was fined a total of $835 for both offences.

A 43-year-old Flinders View man was issued a notice to appear in court after he returned a positive roadside drug test at 7.50pm on Friday, June 7.

Officers from Road Policing Command stopped the man's vehicle on the Cunningham Highway, Aratula for a random drug test.

He is due to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court later in the month.

A 42-year-old Waterford man faces six months without a licence after he was stopped by officers from Ipswich Road Policing Unit for a high speed offence at 4.15pm on Saturday, June 8 on the Cunningham Highway, Tarome.

Police said the man was travelling at 121km/hr in an 80km/hr zone.

He was fined $1218.

A 34-year-old man from Kooralbyn was stopped by police at 1am on Sunday and found to be over the blood alcohol limit.

He will face Beaudesert Magistrates Court within 14 days where a reading of .063 will be alleged.

A 56-year-old Woodhill man was stopped by police on Hiscock Street Woodhill at 3.30pm Sunday afternoon and charged with DUI.

He will appear at Beaudesert Magistrates Court where police will allege a blood alcohol reading of .081.
