BEAUDESERT Kingfisher volunteers are preparing for more action-packed home fixtures after helping the club to host back-to-back junior matches on Saturday.
Club president Matt Haack said the efforts of volunteers continued to be outstanding.
Club members generously donated their time to help operate the club's canteen and bar, also looking after logistics on the field and pitching in to clean up after huge weekend tournaments.
"We appreciate (their) help beyond words and it is why our club is so strong," he said. "The volunteer participation has been brilliant."
The club had hosted more than 10 games last Saturday alone, with junior home teams competing against players visiting from Jimboomba, Mudgeeraba, Southport and Burleigh.
Mr Haack said a big day for girls' teams on Saturday would be hosted this week, as the club's boys' sides played away.
Two under 14s and three under 16s girls' sides were set to compete on Saturday against teams including from Beenleigh, Nerang, Coomera and Parkwood from 8.30am on field one, before a women's match against Logan City was hosted from 3pm.
Mr Haack said a home men's team match against Rochedale would also be played from 1.30pm on field one on Saturday.
He said more parents were always needed to help run the club, with prospective volunteers urged to get into contact with the Beaudesert Kingfishers' committee.
Mr Haack said generous individuals with Beaudesert Kingfishers and the Jimboomba Thunder Rugby League Club had helped to raise more than $10,000 for the family of Clayton Dodd, who was seriously hurt in an away masters' game earlier this year.
Volunteers had also set up a shaded outdoors viewing area for club patrons to watch games from earlier this year.
Mr Haack said the area ensured families, including those with young children, could watch matches in comfort, with equipment and materials donated by local businesses to the build.
Volunteers were also helping to put together an under eights carnival, planned for Sunday, June 2.
