Police nab interstate fugitive at Beaudesert motel

POLICE from Beaudesert station nabbed a fugitive wanted by New South Wales police on Wednesday.

A spokesman for Beaudesert police said the man was wanted in relation to five outstanding arrest warrants.

He said they had been told the man was attempting to seek refuge in the local Annalee Motel on Telemon Street, Beaudesert.

The police spokesman said although the fugitive had made drastic attempts to disguise his identity Beaudesert police were able to physically identify the man.

He was placed under arrest by police at the Motel about 5.30pm on May 15 without incident.

The man was taken to the Beenleigh Magistrates Court and extradited back to NSW to appear before courts there.
