Scenic Rim residents were connected with community services and armed with the knowledge to improve their health and wellbeing at today's Get Savvy expo at The Centre, Beaudesert.
The Scenic Rim Regional Council event featured more than 40 stallholders offering free giveaways and information on a range of issues including disability services, support for seniors, legal rights, financial planning and healthy living.
Local woman Denise White said she had attended the expo because her husband was living with dementia at Whiddon Beaudesert Star and she needed a service provider to assist with various tasks around the home that she was unable to complete herself.
She said as well as connecting people with services and information, the expo also presented a great opportunity to meet people and socialise.
"I love it (the expo)," she said.
"It is a great way of finding out a lot of things."
