Players in all junior cricket divisions showed endurance and ability at their various games on February 9.
Beaudesert Division 2 A juniors played a two-day game against Springwood Blue at Ray Antcliff Oval in steamy conditions. Beaudesert won the toss and elected to field.
Springwood made 9/116 off 28 overs. Jim McClure took 6/3/3/14 and Jacob Hume 6/0/2/26 and were the pick of the Beaudesert bowlers.
Beaudesert in reply made 9/220 and Jacob Hume 6/0/2/26 as the highest scoring Beaudesert bowler. Beaudesert in reply made 9/220 off 46 overs with Fraser Tilney top scoring with 61 before being caught.
Jim McClure made 43 and Kane Neuendorff made 47 not out to finish the innings and make it a great win.
Beaudesert White Division 3 A lost to Springwood Suns. Springwood at close of play was 8/162 off 27.3 overs with Darcy Riddle 3/0/2/10, Clancy Hardy 4/0/2/11 Darby Lyman, Liam Buchanan, Seb Potts and Nat Short all contributing taking one wicket each. Beaudesert 8/117 off 27.4 overs fell short with Darby Lyman 37, Isabelle Hardy 21 top scoring for Beaudesert. Despite the loss, players showed an improvement from previous play.
Beaudesert Gold Division 4 played Greenbank Geckos at Larrescy Oval with Greenbank compiling 7/129. Beaudesert's Xavier Dean bowled three wickets for 17 runs. Izaac Johnson, Jack Wilkie and Matthew Morris each took a wicket.
Beaudesert made 7/121 just falling short with Jack Wilkie scoring 24 not out and Jack Jenkins 23. Riley Boyle played his first game contributing 16 with Xavier Dean also contributing 15. Both players took a catch each.
Beaudesert Green Division 4 travelled to Homestead Park to play Springwood Suns. Springwood batted first and made 11/84 with Archie Foster 2/0/2/3, Declan O'Donnell 2/0/2/10, Matthew Uppington 2/0/2/23 and the rest of the team taking a wicket each. Beaudesert managed 11/88. Declan O'Donnell scored 21 not out, Matthew Uppington 18, and Archie Foster 14.
