Twelve face drug and weapon charges after Fassifern Police operation

A number of residents face drug and weapon charges after police conducted Operation Romeo Redeem in the Fassifern area on February 6.

A police spokesman said officers from the Fassifern Valley, Ipswich Tactical Crime Squad and the Brisbane Dog Squad executed a series of search warrants relating to the use and supply of drugs at homes in the Fassifern area.

He said police charged a total of 12 people with 23 drug and weapon offences, while an additional three offenders were offered and accepted drug diversion, and a juvenile was cautioned for possession of dangerous drugs.

The warrants were possible following investigation of information provided by the public directly to police or via Crime Stoppers.
