Beaudesert Division One took to the field on Sunday as junior cricket returned from the summer break.

The Beaudesert outfit travelled to North Ipswich to face Northsiders in absolutely blistering conditions.

Heavy rain at Ipswich forced the match to be shortened to 30 overs each but that did not phase a Beaudesert team which had its sights set on finishing the contest early after ripping through the North Ipswich batting lineup in just 19.4 overs for only 76 runs.

The Northsiders had no answer to the brilliant bowling attack led by Kane Nuendorff 5/3/15 and Kyle Ralston 2/3/7, with Jacob and Nathan Hume playing a crucial supporting role.

In reply, Beaudesert romped its way to 3/162 after 30 overs with Shaun Harkin (40) and Fraser Tilney (42) dispatching the opposition to all parts of the ground to put the exclamation mark on a tremendous team performance.

Division one play on Sunday at Everdell from midday.
