The Beaudesert Rangers Soccer Club is holding its sign-on from 8am-noon on Saturday at Selwyn Park.
Fundraising co-ordinator Nicole Teese said it would be an opportunity for players to register for the upcoming season and for people wishing to coach or manage a side to nominate for the position.
She said the club had grown immensely in recent seasons, with more than 200 players registered last year, and it was hoped even more would join in 2019.
“It is going to be another great season and I encourage everyone to get involved,” she said.
Mrs Teese said Rangers aimed to field at least two teams in each age group and were expecting the majority of the senior men’s team who reached the grand final to return.
She said an influx of newcomers was also anticipated following the success of the six-a-side off-season competition, which finished in November and attracted plenty of fresh faces.
“The off-season competition was great,” she said.
“”Everyone loved it and had a great time.
“Heaps of new players got on board, so hopefully we’ll see some of them come back and play a full season.”
Mrs Teese said plans were already in place to hold the off-season competition again next year and it was hoped the competition would grow.
For the first time, players will have the chance to try on uniforms at the sign-on day.
The full range of Beaudesert Rangers merchandise will be available for purchase.
Registration can also be completed online at beaudesertsoccer.com.au
The club is offering a discount for early bird registration upon full payment. The offer is only available until February 24. Registrations after this date will be full price.
The Annual General Meeting is coming up in March. Anyone interested in being a member of the executive is encouraged to attend and nominate.
