AUSTRALIA Day weekend will feature an artisan market to be held in the car park of VK Everydays cafe on Brisbane Street in Beaudesert.

VK owner Toni Cooper said the markets on Sunday, January 27 would feature local food and live music.

“We have space for about 25 stall holders, which will include artisan breads from the Bald, Bearded, Baker in Kooralbyn, wire jewellery created by Gail Ford and rhinestone art by Ginger Arnold,” she said.

“We will also have stalls selling goats milk soap, succulents, Canadian sweets from Janis Nicklas and alpaca products by Karen Fry.”

Ms Cooper said there would be items for sale from Paul’s Handcrafted Timber Products and offerings from local Collective Creations partners Chris Grant and Christopher Gaunt who will be selling hand made items made from new and repurposed wood.

“We wanted to create an event right in the centre of the Beaudesert CBD to showcase the talent from the Scenic Rim,” she said.

“We will be open from 7.30am till 2.30pm serving all day brekkies, lunch, great coffee and home baked goods.

“We plan to hold artisan markets twice a year in Beaudesert.”

Entertainment will be provided by brothers Miles and Luke Morel with support from bass guitarist Jax Fostagec.
