The Scenic Rim’s children can soak up the great outdoors and try their hands at some new hobbies during the Beaudesert Scout Group’s sign on and family fun day on December 19.
From 10am-2pm local boys and girls aged six-and over will have the chance to have a go at some favourite scouting activities, including cooking damper and bush scones in a camp oven and badge making.
To keep the youngsters entertained, there will also be face painting, a jumping castle, lots of games and they can even try on the uniform and have a photo taken.
Group leader Marg Manthey said it would be a great opportunity for both kids and parents to gain an insight into the scouting program and she encouraged the public to come along.
She said scouts aimed to support young people in their physical, mental and spiritual development so they could play constructive roles within society.
The Beaudesert Scout Group is located at the corner of Eaglesfield and Hart Streets, with entry via Hart Street.
