Emergency services were called to a car crash involving two cars on the Mount Lindesay Highway at Gleneagle at 2.08pm.
They arrived on the scene to find two cars down the embankment to the side of the highway.
A Queensland Ambulance Services spokesman said paramedics treated two patients for minor injuries.
An ambulance transported one of the patients to Beaudesert Hospital and the other was taken to Logan Hospital with a lower leg injury.
Police were on the scene controlling traffic as a pair of tow trucks removed the cars from the ditch beside the highway.
It is not yet known what caused the accident.
As the car travelling towards Beaudesert left the road, it struck the guard rail causing significant damage before doing a 180 degree turn and coming to rest facing backwards down the embankment.
The other vehicle was travelling away from Beaudesert. It left the road and remained facing the direction of travel.
The police investigation is ongoing.
