Browns Plains Police continued their enforcement action against local criminal activity on Sunday.

Officers from the Browns Plains Police Station Crime Reduction Unit and Browns Plains Police Station executed a search warrant at a Hillcrest address allegedly locating and seizing four Cannabis plants, smoking utensils and other items used in conjunction with drug offences.

A quantity of various types of ammunition was also seized.

A 44-year-old Hillcrest man was issued a Notice to Appear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on January 15 on charges including producing dangerous drugs, possessing smoking utensils and possessing items used in connection with a drugs offence.

Officer in Charge, Browns Plains Police Station Crime Reduction Unit, Sergeant Ben Reeve said the proactive enforcement will continue to escalate as the Browns Plains Police continue to target drug use and supply in the Browns Plains area.

“We appreciate the ongoing support and assistance of the public in providing information to local police,” Sergeant Reeve said.

“All credible information will be investigated and I encourage anyone with information relating to drug activity in the Browns Plains area to contact Crime Stoppers.”
