Police handed out 36 fines and charged one person while conducting Operation Quebec Flock on Beaudesert Boonah Road at Coulson on December 1.

A group of more than 100 vehicles were located at the location shortly before midnight.

Officers from the Road Policing Command and Boonah and Harrisville Stations set up a static interception site which saw the majority of cars inspected and drivers subjected to licence checks, as well as roadside breath and drug tests.

Police said the fines were issued for various traffic infringements, while the person facing court will answer a charge of unlicensed driving.

The operation was run in conjunction with others across the south-east that also targeted hooning activities.

Operation Quebec Flock is an ongoing operation being conducted by the Road Policing Command which aims to reduce hooning and traffic-related offences.
