BEAUDESERT Markets did a brisk trade on Saturday as shoppers turned up in droves in spite of the heat.
Locals took advantage of market day to grab a bargain, listen to live music and enjoy the community spirit of good old-fashioned country markets.
The wide variety of stalls had something for everyone and provided a good opportunity for locals to tick a few items off their Christmas shopping lists.
Gourmet baked goods were also available with Zonta selling home made treats as well as conducting a Christmas raffle to raise funds for disadvantaged women and girls locally and overseas.

Musicians Maurice Hardy and Rob “Crazy Bear” Robinson provided the sound track for a bit of Saturday morning browsing, catching up with old friends or simply stopping for a snack and beverage at the Beaudesert Arts and Information Centre.
Mr Hardy was also the winner of the Beaudesert Bush Bards limerick competition and was presented with his award after pausing to recite the winning rhyme.
