Two cars have crashed on Tamborine Mountain

EMERGENCY services responded to reports of a car crash on Tamborine Mountain this afternoon.

Queensland Police said the incident involved two vehicles on Tamborine Mountain and Barry Road.

A spokeswoman said one of the cars was briefly blocking the road but both drivers were out of their vehicles and walking around when police arrived.

The spokeswoman said the road was completely open again by 2.45pm

A spokeman for Queensland Ambulance said paramedics were in attendance from 1.30pm and assessed two male patients who had no obvious injuries.

Both declined transportation to hospital.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said one crew of firefighters were at the scene by 1.45pm but left to attend another call in the area.

Reports of a structure fire at Beacon Road Tamborine Mountain saw two crews respond at 2.15pm.

On arrival, the firies investigated smoke that was coming from behind an oven, immediately extinguishing a small fire and conducting air quality tests before leaving at 2.30pm.
